One Step Closer to Voting on Medical Marijuana in North Dakota

Supporters of legalizing medical marijuana in North Dakota have picked Tuesday as the day to turn in a petition to put the issue on the November 2016 ballot.

The initiative will need signatures from nearly 13,500 North Dakota voters to qualify for a vote.

If it passes, North Dakotans could possess up to 3 ounces of marijuana for medical purposes.

They would be able to get it from a state-licensed dispensary or grow a limited supply for personal use.
