Oak Grove Lutheran School appoints new president

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — After an extensive search, Oak Grove Lutheran School has found its next school president.

With more than 25 years of experience in Lutheran higher education and nonprofit leadership, the school has selected Rev. Dr. Brian Beckstrom.

He served as Chief Mission Officer and Associate Vice President at Valparaiso University, and previously served as Dean of Spiritual Life and Campus Pastor at Wartburg College.

Beckstrom says he looks forward to meeting with everyone in the Oak Grove community.

“Helping students really live into their callings, and faculty and staff, and feeling as the work they’re doing is holy work, is sacred work. And that leadership that they’re providing is so essential. And so that’ll be my focus,” said Beckstrom.

Beckstrom will begin his role in June.
