FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Community members came together in Downtown Fargo this afternoon to remember the life of Isadora Wengel and to raise money for an organization focused on preventing violence against women.

Paradox Comics-N-Cards played host to the first annual Izzy Cup, a community fundraiser benefiting Solera, formerly known as the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.

Isadora was a massive video game racing fan, and the Cup itself was a huge tournament of her favorite racing game.

Additionally, there were silent auction booths and other ways to donate directly to Solera.

Isadora’s family said that she would have been thrilled to see people supporting that type of organization.

“Promoting that kind of advocacy, letting people know that they’re seen, that they’re heard, that they’re acknowledged – it’s something that I know Izzy would have wanted, being the crusader that she was,” said Brian Landsem, her father.

Live music was played all through the afternoon and the Fargo Fillies food truck also served food the entire time.
