Cass County Sheriff warns of bear sightings
HARWOOD, N.D. (KVRR) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking rural communities to stay aware after multiple black bear sightings in June.
A black bear was spotted in both Harwood and the rural Amenia area.
The sheriff’s office is unsure if ti is the same black bear.
Out of an abundance of caution, they are asking residents to remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings, especially when children are out.
If you observe the bear, they say you should call 911 immediately. They also are urging residents to keep garbage cans closed, and inside if possible.
