Be a Kid Again! Fly a Kite!

What better way to enjoy a sunny Saturday than by flying a kite?

Fargo Park District invites the public to be a kid again, and fly some kites.

The event usually attracts between 200 to 300 people.

It’s become a tradition for people across the metro and even a few out of towners.

Everything from handmade kites to 30 foot long gliders fill Lindenwood Park each year.

“It gets them out of the house, it gets them away from the electronics. They can spend more time together doing an event like this and so many times in the busy life they’re out there shopping, and other things but this is a time that families can spend together,” says Jeff Heisler with Fargo Park District.

Luther Family Ford helped everyone enjoyed the day, providing free kites.

Families also enjoyed hot dogs and pop thanks to the Fargo Park District.
