Fargo Police Chief Candidates Whittled Down to Three
There are now only three finalists for Fargo Police Chief and they will be interviewed tomorrow.
Mayor Mahoney says Luis Soler of Texas notified the city Friday he was withdrawing his name.
A reason wasn’t given.
The selection committee will interview two in-house candidates: interim Chief David Todd and Lt. Joel Vettel along with George Austin of North Carolina.
All of the finalists will be put through a mock news conference to see how they handle questions on Friday.
Interim Chief Todd has been in the position since Keith Ternes resigned last November amid management issues and low morale in the department.
