Jefferson Elementary Fifth Graders Learn how to be Energy Efficient

Fifth graders at Jefferson Elementary are cracking down on energy being used at their school.

This is the first year students are tasked with an energy challenge.

They must work in groups to determine how to reduce the energy usage.

Each team presented its plan to a panel of judges.

This project is to get students ready for college and future careers.

“We want to inform and supply the students with as much knowledge as possible so they can be energy savers in the future,” says Fargo School Curriculum Facilitator Rachel Kjonaas.

The team with the best plan will be “hired” by the City of Fargo to be implemented at Jefferson Elementary.
