Judge Calls for Second Competency Exam for Accused Fargo Murderer
A district judge has agreed to a second mental competency evaluation for Ashley Hunter, the Fargo man charged with two murders in June.
The 35-year-old is accused in the deaths of 45 year-old Clarence Flowers and 24-year-old Sam Traut.
Hunter’s lawyer says he isn’t satisfied with the results of an evaluation done at the State Hospital in Jamestown.
Hunter, who has an extensive criminal record, knew Flowers.
Police say Traut was murdered after he answered his apartment door and Hunter asked for a glass of water.
