Eight Years Later, MSU Student’s Murder Still Unsolved

Friends and family of a Minot State student murdered eight years ago want more time and resources dedicated to solving the crime.

18-year-old Anita Knutson, of Butte, was found stabbed to death in her apartment in June 2007.

Friends and family delivered a petition with more than a thousand signatures to the police department yesterday, asking for “Justice for Anita.”

Her aunt says they hope someone will come forward with evidence.
Police say the case is still an open investigation.
