MSUM is celebrating around 70 new American citizens.

The United States District Court, District of North Dakota welcomed them during a naturalization ceremony.

The new citizens come from 30 different countries including Bhutan, China and Ethiopia.

Many of the new Americans have been living in the United States for years but have been waiting for citizenship.

“I feel so honored that one of the most powerful countries of the world is going to call me today and welcome me as a citizen. I’m very grateful to America, I’m very grateful to the United States, and now I feel I’m ready to give them more than I’ve been giving so far,” says Kemerly Grau who moved from Peru seven years ago.

The ceremony included patriotic songs and a video welcome from President Obama.
