Minnesota Man Who Killed His Neighbor Gets Life in Prison

A Minnesota man convicted of killing his neighbor in a long-running feud over feeding deer, has been sentenced to life in prison.

58-year-old Neal Zumberge, of New Brighton, was also sentenced in Ramsey County to 15 years in prison for injuring the neighbor’s girlfriend.

Zumberge was convicted of murder and three other felonies for the May 2014 shooting that took the life of Todd Stevens.

Prosecutors say Zumberge blamed Stevens for a case of Lyme disease he and his dog contracted.
