Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys at Odds Over Jury Questionaire in Sex Tape Case

A Clay County prosecutor says a proposed jury questionnaire by attorneys who represent two men accused of using a teenage girl in a sex video “will taint the entire jury panel.”

Assistant Clay County Attorney Pam Harris says several of the defense’s proposed questions are improper, or “highly objectionable.”

Attorneys for Thomas Carey and Brandon Smith want to ask the panel how they feel about the case, where they received information about the case and whether they believe Carey and Smith are guilty, or not guilty.

The trial is scheduled to be held in Moorhead in December.
