Graduating with a Future in Government

A group of students is celebrating graduation, but these kids are from all different schools across the county.

Cass County Youth Commission is a selective group, with two students selected from each school in the area.

The students participate in a 10 month program learning about county government and leadership skills.

The hope is they will learn how to better impact communities when they leave the program.

“The ability to care about what’s happening and how to get involved in government is something that my generation doesn’t really know and I dream to be a public servant when I’m older so I hope that by doing this I’m setting an example for my peers,” says Cass County Youth Commission Chair, Isaac Spanjer.

Many of the students are already signed up to help with the election in November.
