The United Way of Cass–Clay starts off its 2015 campaign with its largest ever kick–off event.

Nearly 800 community leaders came out to show their support at the Fargo Holiday Inn.

This year’s campaign goal is to raise $5.65 million.

That’s two percent higher than last year’s goal.

The money United Way raises is invested in local community partners that help people with education, income stability and basic needs like food, shelter and safety.

“United Way needs you, they need people to invest their time, their dollars, their talents because we have a lot of big problems in our community but we know the way that we could solve them. We just need the support of the community,” says Kristina Hein with the United Way Cass-Clay.

United Way raised its campaign goal last year of $5.5 million.
