Super Hero 5K Supports Good Cause

Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota is launching a brand new event.

The organization is hosting a Super Hero 5K Saturday at Oak Grove Park in Fargo.

Online registration is closed but participants can register in person Saturday. It’s $20 per person or $40 per family.

The money will go towards raising awareness for children and families that have experienced abuse or neglect.

Participants are encouraged to dress up like their favorite super hero.

“Not many people know that there’s all this information out there for parents even that are having trouble raising their kids, don’t know what the next step is with the trouble they’re having and before they get stressed out we want to provide them with information before anything severe happens,” says Rhonda Lura and Allison Carlson of Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota.

This is its first 5K but the organization hopes to make it an annual event.
