One injured in Lidgerwood, N.D. house fire

LIDGERWOOD, N.D. – One person has been injured in a house fire in Lidgerwood.

It happened in the 100 block of 3rd Ave SE and crews were called around 9:40.

Richland County Emergency Manager Brett Lambrecht says a garbage truck driver spotted the fire, called 911 and helped the victim escape. The man was airlifted to Sanford Hospital.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says a cause is unknown and under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. It calls the home a total loss.
