If you’re headed to Bonanzaville or the MSUM Fireworks show for the 4th, you may experience some parking and traffic delays.
KVRR’s Brittany Ford has what you need to know when it comes to planning your commute.
Construction on Main Avenue from Sheyenne to I-94 will cause traffic congestion on your way to Bonanzaville.
The park has added parking to help with the expected back up.
“We have additional parking on the east side of Bonanzaville, and also on the west side so there will be those gates that will be open in addition to coming off 13th Ave,”said Bonanzaville Special Event Coordinator Melissa Warren.
MSUM’s Fireworks show has been moved to Bluestem this year due to renovations on campus.
If you planned on parking directly at Bluestem for the show, you’re going to need a parking pass, and those are sold out.
Although the venue has provided alternative ways for you to get to the show.
“The biggest alternative is the soccer complex in Moorhead to park there, and there will be shuttles running back and forth back and forth all night,” said Bluestem Event Coordinator Joel Farren.
George and Cynthia Mohn lived in Fargo for 4-years.
They came back from Virginia to celebrate the Fourth of July.
“We would always go to MSUM’s fireworks. The fireworks were wonderful here all the time very good.,” said George and Cynthia Mohn.
They say the MSUM field tradition will be missed.
“A little disappointed on that I am this is my wife’s hometown she probably feels more strong about it then I do, but we understand why and it’s going to be back at MSUM so we’re okay with that now,” said George and Cynthia Mohn.
Activities at Bluestem kick off at 7 Saturday night and the fireworks is set for 10.
