Sen. Heitkamp, Sen. Klobuchar Traveling with President Obama to Cuba
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is joining President Obama in a history-making trip to Cuba next weekend.
The trip also includes North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
They will be among a group of Democrats and Republicans traveling on the two day trip as Obama tries to chip away at remaining U.S. obstacles to travel and commerce with Cuba.
Klobuchar is the lead Senate sponsor of legislation to lift the U.S. trade embargo with Cuba.
Obama’s trip to Havana marks the first time a sitting president will set foot in Cuba in nearly nine decades.
