Fargo Commission Approves Moorhead Parking
The Fargo City Commission approves a proposal to help ease parking congestion in downtown Fargo.
The $135,000 plan would allow people to park at the Moorhead Center Mall and a shuttle would make its way to downtown Fargo every 15 minutes.
The proposal aims to help with parking downtown and it would also help increase MatBus ridership.
The proposal still has to go through Moorhead.
“When you think about having a mile long route that connects Moorhead and Fargo, that really fits in well with our transit plans but also fits with our framework plans that we’ve worked on with Moorhead,” said Fargo City Commissioner Mike Williams.
If Moorhead leaders approve the plan, Fargo hopes to have the bus circulation system running by May 18th.
