Knodel To Face Second Trial, Could Be Moved

It looks like West Fargo teacher Aaron Knodel’s second trial could be delayed and moved.

In just filed documents, prosecutors say the June 23 trial date is a “simply unrealistic and unfair” time frame.

The state says it plans to ask for a change of venue.

A judge last week threw out three charges against Knodel, but said he could be retried on the remaining two.

The former North Dakota teacher of the year is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student in 2009.
