Mother of Dru Sjodin Blames Lawmakers for Failing Minnesota Sex Offender Program
Dru Sjodin’s mother is calling on state lawmakers to fix Minnesota’s sex offender treatment program.
Linda Walker says she blames lawmakers for not doing anything about the program and deciding they would rather have the federal court be the villain.
A federal judge ruled Wednesday that the program is unconstitutional.
Lawyers representing 700 people in the program argued that nobody has ever been fully discharged.
Linda’s daughter, Dru, was murdered in 2003 after she was kidnapped in Grand Forks by convicted sex offender Alfonso Rodriguez.
He is on death row.
