Cleanup Continues in Bismarck After Violent Weekend Storm

The cleanup after severe storms in Bismarck over the weekend could take all week.

This is what it looked like Friday night when a violent thunderstorm brought flooding to the capitol city.

The high water submerged cars and forced crews to close several roads.

The storm also brought down trees and power lines.

Cleanup of tree branches is expected to last several more days at the 132-acre state Capitol Complex.

The facilities management director says it’s the worst damage in at least 13 years to trees at the Capitol grounds.
