Bobcat Awards Local Elementary Students for STEM Projects

A group of West Fargo eighth-graders are getting a big boost to help with a class project.

These students at Liberty Middle School won a 500 dollar grant from Bobcat.

Bobcat is awarding six grants across the region to help fund projects focusing on STEM programs.

The West Fargo students have created ways to collect and re-use rainwater, including converting the school garden into a collection site.

“We focuses on urban gardening to help come up with creative ideas that would meet the limits of our garden,” says Kamden Richardson, 8th Grader.
 
I think it gave them a lot of encouragement for what they can do for the rest of the school year,” says teacher Sally Richardson.
 
Teachers say the grant will let them complete all of their planned water collecting projects this year.
