Convicted Rapist Weeps in Court; Says He’s Sorry for Everything

40-year-old Stanley Busche of Arugsville has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
 
Busche pleaded guilty in June to raping two NDSU international students last December.

Prosecutor Cherie Clark described Busche as a predator who stalked his prey.
 
Clark explained to the judge that Busche’s criminal background, in addition to the crimes he pleaded guilty to this summer, shows that he is a predator who will strike again.

It was an emotional day in the courtroom for Busche’s family, as his attorney pleaded with the judge for a 10-year sentence.

Busche shed tears as he shared with the courtroom his remorse for his actions.
 
“To the three women whose lives I’ve affected forever, I’m sorry for everything I’ve taken from them. I wish I could take away their fear, their pain, and their anger,” said Stanley Busche
 
Stanley was also ordered to register as a sexual offender.
 
He will also have to complete a sexual offender program while in prison.
