Watch Out for Monday Commute in West Fargo

Monday morning commuters through West Fargo’s Main Avenue may want to rethink their usual route.

That’s because the construction zone traffic there is about to get even messier.

Traffic on Main Avenue goes head to head, one-lane on Monday, which is the final phase in a three-step project to revamp West Fargo’s major throughway.

The work runs from about 12th Street West over the river to Sheyenne Street.

Drivers can expect some  intersections on the north side to be shut down as milling operations move past the intersections.

Crews are installing a new box culvert at the Sheyenne river.

It’s going to be slow going at 25 miles per hour for commuters there for the next 2 months while contractors remove the north side driving lanes, service road and old bridge.

There’s a public meeting next Monday if you want more information about the project.
