Man Hit and Killed By Train in Fargo
A man who allegedly went around railroad crossing bars is hit and killed in downtown Fargo.
Police say the 61-year-old man was hit by a train around 1:40 this morning at 8th Street and Main Avenue.
They say a train heading east had just passed when he started walking across the tracks and was hit by a westbound train.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s not clear if the man had been drinking.
His name has not yet been released.
