Man Found Dead in Beltrami County Jail Cell
A man is found dead in his cell in Beltrami County.
The sheriff’s office says cell mates alerted jail staff around 6:50 this morning that 26-year-old Tony May of Red Lake was unresponsive.
EMS personnel tried to revive May but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into his death is being handled by the Minnesota BCA.
May’s body will undergo an autopsy by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
His record included drug and driving offenses.
