Bison RB Frazier’s Status Uncertain for Saturday

NDSU Football is back in a tie for first place in the Missouri Valley.

To stay there, the Bison will need a win Saturday against Youngstown State.

But they may have to deal with a big injury.

One of the lone dark spots in NDSU’s win this past Saturday against UNI was a rib injury to starting tailback King Frazier, which puts his availability in question.

Frazier left the win in the first quarter, having already racked up six carries for 26 yards and the herd’s only touchdown to that point.

On the season, Frazier’s led NDSU in rushing with 579 yards and eight touchdowns.

He’s averaged more than 70 yards a game.

Bison coach Chris Klieman says the only news they’ve gotten so far is good news.

“The X-Rays were normal, so there was no fracture which is good,” said Coach Klieman. “So now I think it’s going to be progressed to see if it’s more cartilage. And that’s what we believe it is. Right now, we’re kind of hopeful, but we’ll probably not know until Wednesday.”

Certainly something worth keeping an eye on as we approach kickoff on Saturday.
