Return of Anderson? Bison Prepare for Final Regular Season Game
NDSU Football is preparing for its final game of the regular season on Saturday.
The Bison have had to deal with injuries all season, but are finally getting some good news about a banged up star.
It’s been since the South Dakota State loss that Bruce Anderson graced the football field with his presence.
That was October 15th and now almost one month to the day, Anderson is expected to return to practice.
The sophomore running back and kick returner extraordinaire re-injured his ankle against the Jackrabbits and has missed all four games since.
The Herd has managed to win those four games though, putting itself in a position to clinch at least a share of the Missouri Valley this weekend.
Bison coach Chris Klieman would not make a prediction on whether Anderson would play Saturday at USD, but says it is good news regarding the back.
“We were cleared to have him practice starting tonight,” confirmed Coach Klieman. “We’ll see how he progresses the next three or four days. I know he’s been working hard with (NDSU Strength and Condition Coach Jim) Kramer, so his conditioning will be okay. It’s just a matter of him having confidence in cutting and moving and stuff. But from what we understand, he will be available.”
Mike also mentions the Herd’s chance at a Missouri Valley title.
