Student Identified as Suspect in Threats Against Minnesota Schools
The Minnesota BCA has identified a suspect in a vague school threat on Wednesday.
They say a juvenile male in Hoyt Lakes in St. Louis County has admitted to making the threat.
A person in a chat room with the juvenile alerted authorities after he claimed to be considering carrying out violence at an unnamed northern Minnesota school.
That forced many school leaders to take action to secure doors and increase police patrols.
The boy is not in custody but is cooperating with law enforcement.
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office is considering charges.
