Man Hit by Train in Moorhead Identified

The man killed by a train in Moorhead over the weekend has been identified.

He is 60-year-old Robert Vilas of Moorhead.

Authorities say Vilas was killed Saturday morning when he was hit by a train behind J.C. Chumley’s in the 1600 block of Main Ave.

Medical examiners in the cities say they plan to release the full results of his autopsy, including toxicology reports, at a later date.
