Three DAPL Protesters Arrested in Iowa

Police have arrested more Dakota Access Pipeline protesters in Iowa after they chained themselves to construction equipment.

Authorities in Pilot Mound made two arrests Tuesday after a group of protesters ran past security to the construction site.

The protesters chained their wrists together inside of a PVC pipe, wrapped in chicken wire and tar.

Another woman was arrested today at the Iowa Utilities Board building after demanding a meeting with the chairwoman.

“We fully understand the risk of every direct action we take…and we are willing to take those risks and put our lives on the line because we deeply believe water is life therefore, we must do everything in our human capacity to protect it,” said one protester.

The Des Moines River is the one of the last sections of the pipeline left to complete in central Iowa and that’s why protesters are focusing on the location.
