Fargo Public Works Says They’re Ready for Oncoming Storm

With heavy snowfall expected, Fargo Public Works is prepared.

The department has been monitoring the roads and weather all day.

They say they are ready to hit the streets when the snow falls.

They are also ready with plenty of salt and anti-icing.

Crews are anticipating running their plows all through the night.

“Prior to a snow event, we like anti-icing because that provides an opportunity from having the snow freeze to the road,” explained Mark Williams, who is the Director of Operations for Fargo Public Works. “That gives us the ability to plow that off when we get our plows out there.”

Williams said primary snow routes are their first priority, followed by secondary routes.
