Grand Forks Fire Department Reminds People to Shovel Around Hydrants

With all the snow on the ground Grand Forks Fire Department wants to remind locals of the obligation to shovel around fire hydrants.

Homeowners living near a hydrant are required to clear snow off of the hydrant so fire fighters can gain easy access to it in case of an emergency.

A three foot clear space is also required around the hydrants unless instructed otherwise.
