Nine-Year-Old Helps Grand Forks Police Nab Suspect

An East Grand Forks nine-year-old helps police nab a man who was allegedly trying to bribe children to get into his vehicle.

Joseph McKeaver, 28, is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and bringing stolen goods into the state.

Police say McKeaver approached juveniles in two different locations in a stolen pickup and offered them candy and money to get into the vehicle.

One nine-year-old memorized the license plate number and told an adult, who reported it to police.

Authorities say McKeaver also had stolen goods in the pickup when he was arrested.
