Minnesota Man who Murdered Fargo Woman Sentenced

FARGO, ND — A man who murdered a Fargo woman has been sentenced to more than 22 years in prison.

Landon Lauwagie, 23, pleaded guilty to the murderĀ of 40 year-old Cory Terlecky.

The Ponsford, Minnesota man killed Terlecky in her south Fargo townhouse in May 2016.

The two knew each other.

Lauwagie claims he choked her while the two were having sex and she died.

He had been charged with gross sexual imposition but in the plea deal, that charge was dismissed.

Lauwagie fled the area after the murder and was eventually arrested in southern Minnesota on a probation violation.
