Metroflex Gym Teams Up with Golden Drive’s Christmas Gift Event

The Owner says he now has five kids of his own and he always wants to help out the area's homeless kids anyway he can

FARGO, ND — A local gym is giving back to children in need for the holidays.

Metroflex Gym Fargo is collecting any unopened toys to give to the Golden Drive for Homeless Kids’ Christmas Gift Event.

The owner, John Ostos, says he wanted to get involved for the third year in a row because he grew up in a poverty-stricken neighborhood in Los Angeles.

He says he now has five kids of his own and he always wants to help out the area’s homeless kids anyway he can.

“To me, it’s a normal way of life I guess,” Ostos said. “It’s a culture that I’m familiar with, I’m accustomed to and I grew up around so I don’t shy away from it by any means. I do anything I can to contribute to bettering that particular side of the reality of life is important to me.”

You can drop off toys for the Golden Drive at Metroflex, KVRR and other locations until December 11.
