Fort Totten Man Sentenced in Police Chase, Shooting Case

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The man who shot at officers during a chase that started near Grand Forks last February is headed to prison.
Daniel TwoHearts, 24, of Fort Totten, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on drug trafficking and firearms charges.
A trooper tried to pull TwoHearts over on I-29 on February 2, 2017.
His vehicle was stopped near Hillsboro and he shot at the trooper and another officer, missing both.
He later stole three vehicles and ended up in Devils Lake where he shot himself as police moved in.
He was sentenced as an armed career criminal, with eight prior burglary convictions.
