Big Brothers/Big Sisters’ Biggest Fundraiser Returns In Person This Year
Their "Bowl for Kids' Sake" event is set for March 24th and 25th
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Biggest Fundraiser of the year for Big Brothers/Big Sisters returns in person for the first time in three years.
Their “Bowl for Kids’ Sake” event is set for March 24th and 25th.
They had to go virtual each of the last two years during the pandemic.
This year, they’re excited to bowl together again.
Money goes to help recruit Bigs to mentor kids in our region.
More than 70 kids are waiting to be paired with a mentor in the F/M Metro to help them reach their full potential.
Sherri Hashbarger with Big Brothers/Big Sisters explains, “All those years we’ve been doing studies and researching. We know they perform better in school. They have better relationships with their parents, with their peers. They’re less likely to take part in risky behaviors, have a better sense of esteem and also a sense of their future.”
Team registration for the event runs through next Friday.
You can also support Big Brothers/Big Sisters by buying paper bowling pins at Hornbacher’s from March 9th through the 22nd.
