LIVE Pet Connection: Meet Zipper

He's zipping right into our affections.

FARGO — We’re making a literal connection today on Pet Connection…. specifically, with a guy named after a connecting piece.

Zipper comes to us from 4 Luv of Dog shelter, and he’s an approximately 2 year old Rottweiler mix.

His handler Cindy Holtan says he’s one of those dogs that just makes them ask, “Why?” as in, why on earth would anyone ever let this perfect dog go.

He’s extremely bright, and knows a ton of commands, including the big ones like sit, down, stay, even catch.

He’s great on a leash and does well at public events, connecting with kids and with other dogs with equal ease.

But in spite of his sharp focus he’s also soft and affectionate — he loves to give hugs and kisses and cuddle with people.

The one kind of connection he doesn’t seem to care for is cats, so he does need a cat-free home.

But if you’re catless, and looking to bring home an all-around perfect and easy to handle dog — moderate size, affectionate and highly trainable, Zipper could really shine.
