Fargo Public Library Eclipse Glasses Giveaway

FARGO, N.D., (KVRR) —  With the eclipse coming up on Monday, Fargo Public library is taking part in the festivities.

While supplies last, the library is giving away eclipse glasses at all of its locations.

These glasses are free and available through Sunday, the day before the eclipse.

They are meant for kids and the library says that giving them out will help them learn more about the rare event.

“So we think it’s really important just because it’s a way for kids to learn about the world around them, how things work, what are special events that are coming up and things like that. Um, you never know what you might spark in a young child I remember eclipses from when I was a kid and you never know what that might lead to,” said Amber Emery with Fargo Public Library.

At the main Fargo Library branch, they have a display so people can learn more about the eclipse.
