FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Tacos, BBQ and civics. What better combination to start the summer with?

The FM International Potluck will bring together Maria’s Homestyle Mexican, the NDSU BBQ Boot Camp, the League of Women Voters and Great Plains Food Bank.
People can join and get free fresh summer flavors along with BBQ tips for the season.
With local elections coming up next month and the presidential election this fall, the League of Women Votes is helping people learn about the candidates and issues on the ballot, and make sure they have to proper ID to ensure you can vote.

Peter Schott with the FM International Potluck adds, “The neighborhood that we’re doing it in is a very diverse neighborhood and so we want to make sure that people really know what they need to do at the ballot box, to be able to do that and not get turned away. We’ve had issued with that in the past with people.”

People are encouraged to bring their own side dishes to share.
The potluck runs from noon to four at The Neighborhood Church at 730 27th St N, in Fargo. Click here for more info.
