LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Lia
FARGO — Lia is a super-chatty and charming kitty who came to Homeward Animal Shelter by way of the pound about a week ago.
They think she’s about seven years old, and as Heather Klefstad of Homeward says, it’s unclear why a cat who’s so beautiful and well-behaved, not to mention affectionate, wouldn’t be a cat someone was looking for.
But now it’s time to find her a forever home.
Because at seven she’s considered a senior, she’s eligible for the seniors to seniors program, which means that if you’re a senior you can adopt her without paying the adoption fee.
You can see that she’s got plenty of energy, so you’ll have a great, playful, warm-natured cat to spend your time with.
And of course, she doesn’t shed like this all the time.
Cats and dogs typically will start to shed more intensively when they’re under stress, so this is a pretty normal response to being in a strange studio with strangers and not something you’d be dealing with all the time.
To make sure no more pets suffer the same fate as Lia, Homeward is holding a microchip clinic tonight at Natural Pet Center, so check out the link to apply to take Lia home and to register for the clinic, here:
