LIVE: 24 Years of Pride in the FM Metro

FARGO — It’s about to get a lot more colorful this weekend in downtown Fargo.

Pride Week culminates in a rainbow-ridden parade on Sunday, August 11th.

But there are a lot of other events this weekend celebrating the LGTBQ-plus community in our region too.

In the 24 years since the first F-M Pride Week, the event’s grown exponentially.

There are family-friendly activities suitable for all ages, like the 5k fun run, Pride in the Rark, the all-ages drag show and the interfaith pride service.

Then, if you’re lucky enough to book a babysitter, adults can check out the dance party for some evening entertainment at Drekker Brewing Saturday evening.

At the parade, you’ll find hundreds of vendors offering info on local LGBTQ-plus-friendly businesses, health care organizations, social groups and more.

Pride Week’s Anna Johnson joined the Morning Show for a live interview about the community connections you can make if you, your family and friends turn out for this weekend’s festivities.
