LIVE: A Museum Comes to Life at Pioneer Days
WEST FARGO –Museums might make you think of just a collection of lifeless objects.
But this weekend, you can see those objects come to life in the metro.
Pioneer Days is coming back to Bonanzaville.
It’s been 54 years since the celebration first started.
This year, you can see historic re-enactors dressed in pioneer-era garb demonstrations how people from backĀ in the days would have lived before Fargo was settle and developed, using the artifacts in the museum.
Kids can churn their own butter or make a pioneer toy, compete in a pedal tractor pull, or watch the vintage vehicles in a parade.
Sample rommegrot, watch kuchen made or a pie baked over an open fire, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, or see a blacksmith in action.
Bonanzaville’s Beth Jansen and Lisa Gedrose joined the Morning Show for a live interview about what they’re excited to show you this weekend, and why every object has its very own story to tell.
