LIVE: Having a Ball for Men’s Health

FARGO — It’s a sensitive topic and one that most people are inclined to treat delicately.

And, because men in particular are so protective of it, a group of fraternity brothers in the region is trying to help.

The brothers of NDSU’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon are continuing a three-year tradition of making the long trek on foot from Grand Forks to Fargo, all for testicular and prostate cancer awareness.

And to do it, they’re wearing an eye-catching costume.

You can probably guess what it’s meant to represent.

The men of SAE say it’s a light-hearted approach to fundraising.

But, given that men tend to avoid discussions about prostate and testicular health, it’s really no laughing matter.

SAE brothers Keegan Effertz and Isaac Denouden joined the Morning Show for a live interview about why this walk is so important to them, and how they’re hoping to change more people’s minds about the importance of discussing men’s health.
