LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Benedict

FARGO — Benedict, a big black beauty, comes to us from Homeward Animal Shelter.

He’s about 15 pounds of shiny, solid black gorgeousness. Not fat, just solid muscle and fur with a huge head, big feet with all their claws that he was very careful not to use on us, and an incredibly sweet and patient disposition.

He was doing a lot of talking when he first came in to the station with Homeward’s Heather Klefstad, but once he got into the studio and in front of the studios, was completely silent, just observing the cameras and anchors and taking it all in. He’s a very observant kitty.

Benedict is about two years old, which means he’s worked out most of the kitten crazies but still has plenty of playful energy.

Heather says he likes to sit on high surfaces, so they’re pretty sure if you bring him home, he’ll likely just hop on top of your refrigerator and enjoy himself while observing you.

He also likes to watch the birds in the yard, and get lots of pets and snuggles from humans.

He gets along well with everybody, and he’d be perfect for all kinds of homes.
