LIVE: Eating to a State Of Bliss
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Food coma fans unite: believe it or not, in spite of the national attention North Dakota’s been enjoying for its food scene, there’s still stuff out there to discover and devour.
That’s according to Grand Forks-based travel writer Nicole Kringstad, who’s doing a book tour through the region with her new release, “Unique Eats and Eateries of North Dakota,” available in bookstores now.
Kringstad says while a lot of eaters are familiar with Fargo’s food scene, there are plenty of surprises left to be discovered in other parts of the state.
For example, she found a Turkish restaurant in Williston that has the best baklava she’s ever had.
She also maintains there are even some surprises left to be savored in the Fargo metro area, which gets a lot of love already from online food groups as well as the James Beard Foundation and the Food Network.
Kringstad joined the Morning Show for a live interview about how she finds these hidden gustatory treasures and what else you’ll discover along with her in her new book.
