LIVE: Learning About the Strange and Unusual (in Pets)
FARGO — Are you looking for a learning experience this weekend?
Perhaps something to set the mood for spooky season?
Or maybe you’ll just meet an unexpected new best friend.
That’s what can happen if you check out the annual Fargo Exotic Pet Expo at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds this Saturday, October 26th.
They feature vendors, animal experts, and nonprofits from within the region and from other parts of the country.
One vendor at the show will be the new Red River Exotics and Aquatics store, opening early next month near Brewhalla in Fargo.
You can meet the animals, learn what each species’ care needs are, and find out how to make sure the animals they deal in are bred in captivity, rather than captured from the wild.
The expo’s founder, Curtis Ness, says it’s part of his mission to educate about these often-misunderstood animals.
Ness and Red River Exotics and Aquatics’ Jeffrey Doig and Kyler Renfrow joined the Morning Show to share their animals’ stories and show viewers how beautiful and fascinating exotic pets can be.
