LIVE: Stuff the Bus
FARGO — Spending your holidays in a shelter isn’t the most festive way to mark the season.
But you can help the families at the YWCA emergency shelter feel a little more at home.
Here’s what you might have seen making its way through the metro today (Wednesday).
It’s the 16th year of the YWCA’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign.
They’re looking for toys for the children, gifts for the teenagers, and as always, practical supplies for the women like toothbrushes and other basics.
It’s common for people fleeing domestic violence to not have time to carry with them the things they need.
And knowing their community is pulling for them can make their holidays seem less stressful.
YWCA Development Director Jill DeVries joined the Morning Show for a live interview about the event, and what your contribution means to making the holidays merry for their clients.
